International students can apply for EU-students visas through a straightforward visa application process, as long as the required documents are meant.
The application process is mostly through individual consulate in country of the applicant with details provided in the consulates website. Visa appointment is booked with the consulate with necessary documents prepared and submitted for review with a visa fee. Part of the document to produce include:
- Application form
- Travel document (passport)
- Biometric photo
- Proof of financial capability to support your stay
- Document containing purpose of stay like acceptance letter from the school
- Proof of sufficient knowledge of English language from international English exams like IELTS, PTE, TOFEL etc (this is not required in most countries of the official languages is English)
- Documents may vary depends on the each countries visa requirements.
- Application usually takes up to 2-3 weeks to get a response for approval or denial.
Upon arrival, international students are required to apply for a temporary residence permit within 45 days before the date of visa expiry. A temporary residence card is issued after successful application, this permits the student to stay in the country for the a specific period, usually renewed yearly.
This document permits students with free movement multiple times for border crossing to neighboring countries with the provision of a valid travel documents for identification when crossing.
Application for temporary residence permit is usually done at the Migration/Alian registration department in charge of the region you live and study with an application fee.
